Structure

There are few ranks within the Solares aside from the Grandmaster and the common brother.
Aside from these ranks all tasks simply are obeyed or given based on experience and neccesity

History

Founded in the 4th age following the departure of The Nameless King into the wilderness of Karpash, many disenfranchised knights have joined the order seeking their own slice of this world and glory. Due to the disciplined nature of the Solares as a military unit they have become one of the main forces of Blackmire and are often called upon to serve as shock cavalry, cutting off the escape of their foes with torrents of flame.

Mythology & Lore

The members of the Solare order seek to emulate the life of their Nameless King, giving up all former possessions to live a life fighting the foes of humankind in the hopes of establishing lands and riches that were impossible in their past lives.

Divine Origins

Upon the establishment of the Nameless King's small kingdom that lied on the border of Karpash and Blackmire many freethinking and determined folk flocked to his banner. He allowed any and all to shed their former obligations as though being reborn like a phoenix and pursue a new life with a new fire stoked in their soul. Though that kingdom fell and was subsumed, the order survived, briefly held rule in Cascade, and now serves as a force marshaled against the wild things of Karpash.

Worship

Worship is largely a personal matter. Brothers take an oath upon being inducted known only between themselves and the Nameless King. These oaths often involve the accomplishment of a dangerous task that would take many years to complete. After a Brother fulfills this oath he is eligible to become Grandmaster though the means by which this knowledge is found remain mysterious.

Granted Divine Powers

Members of this order spend many years building up the drive and desire required to summon the flames so often associated with the Solares. Indeed all the full brothers can produce spectacular gouts of flame from nothing.

Political Influence & Intrigue

This order struggles often with its brothers in the Gray Tower Knighthood and with the restraints of swearing fealty to the King of Blackmire. Though every Grandmaster has remained loyal this doesn't stop the threats of rebellion from swaying the King into warhawk behavior to sate their thirst.
