Sigma Scorpii

The Sigma Scorpii star system is 568 light years from Sol—in the constellation Scorpius, roughly coreward from Earth. It is a binary system, with a third related star that orbits the binary pair.   Both the primary stars are Class B white to white-blue and orbit each other at a distance of 120 AU, which is about 18 billion km. The magnificent garden world, Serra, orbits one star of a binary or double-star B1 III/B1 V pair, making it Sigma Scorpii A-5, just one of many dozen small worlds, gas giants, and asteroid belts in its star system.   The third star, Sigma Scorpii C orbits the binary pair at a distance of 4500 AU, which is about 673 billion km away.
