Kali

The home planet of the Kalians. Often called Kali by humans. The Kalians themselves have many different names for the star, the planet, and even their own race.
Because Zeta Pyxidis is a binary star system, with an extremely bright main star, the habitable zone is quite far from the main star. Kali orbits the twin stars at a distance of 2.1 AU.
Kali is a surprisingly pleasant world, slightly larger than earth, with a single large continent and two roughly circular polar seas. The taint in its atmosphere, poisons in its seas and scorched landscape are all wrought by its denizens.
