Farhaven

Farhaven was one of the original three cities built on Keid 1-b when the settlements were founded. It's location was chosen because of a large river fed by a mountain lake. 
There is a large waterfall that feeds into the river about 5km from the edge of the city. It's a common location for people to hike to on a day off and a plateau about 100 feet above the valley floor that is popular for picnics. The waterfall itself is about 250 feet high.

Demographics

Mostly a human city, they make up over 88% of the population. Kalians make up about 5% of the population. The other 7% is a mix of various Floran, and Saurian species.

Geography

Farhaven is built into a valley surrounded by large hills, and one mountain on the south side. The mountain helps shade the city in the hot summer months.
The region is full of old-growth trees that have been mostly left in place outside the city.
