Android

Androids are fully intelligent artificial beings that are mostly self aware. They have Artificial intelligence, including Asimov circuits, which means they are usually unable to assist in combat in any way. Similar to the legal requirement for Asimov circuits, Androids are legally allowed to appear identical to the species they are designed to look similar to. Sometimes the eyes have no iris, or a mechanical look to the iris, the skin tone may be yellow, or some other unnatural colour. Tykon Corp makes the most human looking androids that are identified by an ID code on the neck.
While humanoid Robots fill many roles, such as waiters at high-end restaurants, or combat robots, androids are much more personable, and serve many other roles.

Androids that are fully human in appearance are often caregivers for children or in-home assistants. They can be used in any situation that the appearance of being human, would be an advantage. They can fill any role that a biological sentient can do, including combat roles if they have removed, or adjusted Asimov circuits.
