The Calendar of the People
Here is the Calendar of the People. They count their week as having 8 days, every month as having 36 days (the time it takes for every moon to have completed one cycle, one "walk across the sky"), and every year as having 12 months.

- The Moons' Walk of Singing Ice - when the ice makes a singing sound in the wind.
- The Moons' Walk of Wolverines - when wolverines are believed to be especially fierce.
- The Moons' Walk of Singing Swans - when the swans begin their song.
- The Moons' Walk of Crows - when the crows return from the south.
- The Moons' Walk of Reindeer Calves - when the reindeer have calves.
- The Moons' Walk of Brightest Sun - when Midsummer Solstice happens and the days are longest.
- The Moons' Walk of Summer - when summer is truly here and days are long.
- The Moons' Walk of Summer's End - when summer is ending and it becomes colder again.
- The Moons' Walk of Red Antlers - when the reindeer scrape the velvet off their antlers, leaving them red with blood.
- The Moons' Walk of Tired Reindeer Bulls - when reindeer bulls are tired out from mating season.
- The Moons' Walk of Darkness - when the days are becoming very short and the nights very long.
- The Moons' Walk of Darkest Night - when Midwinter Solstice happens and the night is longest.

Important dates include:- The Spring Equinox, Day of Balance, when day and night are equal in length.
- The Midsummer Solstice, a day dedicated to celebrating Father Sun, also Geld's birthday.
- The Autumn Equinox, Day of Balance, when day and night are equal in length.
- The Midwinter Solstice, a day dedicated to celebrating Mother Moon and her two sisters. Also Val's birthday.

The purpose of this document is to document the calendar used by the People.
