The Galactic Federation

The Galactic Federation is a multi-species governing faction that has been in place in the Milky Way Galaxy for longer than the Human species has even existed. Established by the Thassid and the Athea, the foundations for the Galactic Federation capital system were built upon the ruins left by the species before it in the [TBA] system, a historical capital system of the ancient Precursors. Present with a multitude of colony opportunities and mega-structures, it became the perfect crux for government. At present, the Galactic Federation is governed by a council representing most sapient Alien species. Despite their founder status, the Thassid tend not to participate in these ‘domestic matters’ of governance with unlike their non-hive minded counterparts - instead seeing to the more ‘tedious’ functions of government like efficiently running all structures within the [TBA] system, clerical duties and curation of an extensive database of potential sapient lifeforms throughout the Galaxy.
