Icegrove
Icegrove is the ancestral seat of House Norrington, Lords of Enkh, and the largest castle in the Oathed Kingdom. Serving as the former capital of the Elk Kingdom, it is a marvel of Ereenese architecture and skill. The centerpiece is the mighty castle, surrounded by the busy outer layer which constitutes the rest of the town.
The settlement was founded long ago by the first Ereenese conquerors who settled the untamed tundra of Enkh. Built by master stonemasons of the old kingdom nearly a thousand years ago, legends say that the craftsmen formed the inner bricks of the castle walls from elder ice and the shiniest white marble with the aid of the Huntress herself.
Today, the city lures travelers, workers and merchants from the eastern lands, forming a duality from the icy walls and the heated forges which light up the streets. Unintentionally organized in concentric rings resembling logs, Icegrove is visually split into districts which vary in age as the central keeps are reached. The buildings in the center are of notable Ereenese architectural descent while the newly built shops and inns of the outskirts appear to be rather eastern.
The streets are often patrolled by the Norrington garrison guards who carefully watch over the main gates. Many would-be smugglers try their luck at sneaking past the guards along the Goldroad, but most of them fall prey to the Elk-banner.
