Greytown

Greytown is a large southern settlement and the seat of the Lords of Dryfeld, House Danesworth. The city is known for being the home of the famous Librarians Guild. Its port is an active hub for trade along the South Sea, harboring ships from strange foreign lands that seldom carry any notable goods. Most of Greytown was built from gray bruised marble bricks, an interesting material which is mined in the depths of the Elder Mountains. The smooth heights of the walls and towers cast shadows upon the population of the filthy streets below. The majority of inhabitants live in poor conditions and reside in the bottom floors of the city housing. Beggars and desperate merchants flock the alleys regularly with the hope of filling their pouches with whatever coin they can get their hands on.
Above the impoverished live the silent. All those who do not struggle in Greytown are either South Sea merchants or Librarians, both loyal to the Danesworths. In the old times, the city was said to have been built atop the ancient ruins of another settlement. It is said that the Librarians Guild repaired the misshapen foundations into a network of underground tunnels, connecting various elements and key buildings. The Guild is the only organization that traditionally holds the details to the sewage and tunnels, as it once held lordship of Dryfeld and is now a loyal asset to the Danesworth family.
