Dryfeld

Being one of the oldest lands in the realm, Dryfeld is an administrative region in the Oathed Kingdom and is comprised of the Sunken Bay coastline, the inner plains and the eastern border to the Glazzure Desert. Seated in the narrow peninsulas of the south, House Danesworth rules the windy plains as Lords of Dryfeld. Although one of the smallest regions in the Kingdom, it supplies the realm with considerable amounts of grain and fruit, second only to the Vinlands.
Notable bannermen and noble families include houses Sneed, Grimstone, Bazalt and Eastcloud.
Many regard Dryfeld as a land of great and wealthy potential. Resource-wise, it lacks the vastness of the Peaks and the sheer number of mines, fields and miles of coast. Whatever the case may be, the land's scholars and librarians have rightly recognized Dryfeld's importance, both military and economic. Of course, it is no surprise that those scholars come from Dryfeld, for the region is the home of the famous Librarians Guild, dedicated to collecting the gods' knowledge.
Many towns in the central fields and woodlands date back to the Age of the Torch, with some having been built by the Lazanth settlers when they first traversed across the desert.

Geography

The region is located south of the Vinlands and forms a coastline bordering the Sunken Bay and South Sea. To the southeast lie the Elder Mountians, forming a steep and stark border along with the hot wastes of the Glazzure Desert.
The eastern border is more of a loose concept, as the lands of Dryfeld unsuspectingly meld into the desert sands.
