From his humble origins helping his parents weave flax in their dingy hovel, Paolio is now the sole leader of the Eastgate Tailors Guild, who furnish the well-heeled of Risevar Town with the finest in garments and tapestries. Several Eastgate originals even adorned the halls of the late king Eadvard III. However, fine clothes and carpets are only one of the many commodities that Paolio specializes in, and the shops full of weavers and seamstresses are merely a front for his true operation. When you purchase attire from the Eastgate Tailor's Guild, what you're truly purchasing is information; Paolio counts a healthy array of spies, rogues and scoundrels among the names on his payroll, and counts many of the well-heeled Banteavan aristocrats among his clientele.
