Melmiri Frozenroar

Queen Melmiri Frozenroar Shoz

Melmiri Frozenroar has been Queen of Avalor for the last six years. Before her marriage to Gradvum she was known as the eldest daughter of the nomadic Queen Malre Shoz, ruler of the Northern Desert Tribes. Known for her ferocity on the battlefield, Melmiri was called the Warrior Princess which followed her to new roll being called the Warrior Queen. While her marriage initally was politically made as a means to help erase the tensions and the tribes of the desert, it has now turned into something more as her and Gradvum have fallen in love.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Melmiri is an highly athletic woman who is in peak physical condition. Since she has an unortodox skill with a blade, she trains with a mute blademaster from her tribe every morning while she trains with her husband at night.

Apparel & Accessories

Melmiri is the first Warrior Queen in the history of the Frozenroar reign. Unlike her predecessors, she carriers her scimitar, Darkheart, into the royal hall with her. While the blade may be ornate in apperance, it has seen many battles. A long knotted braid is attached to the handle with each knot representing a life it has taken.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

As the Warrior Queen and a daughter of the Akhrua Etriel, Melmiri wants to change the perception of women in the kingdom, specifically noble women. While women serve in the kingdoms armies, noble women believe in a pampered life of luxury. Since she has taken the throne as Queen, Melmiri has visited every noble house in the kingdom and taken their second born daughters to train under her. The unit that was formed is her personal bodyguard known as the Dina Hyanda, Elvish for Silent Blade.   As well, she believes her marriage opens up new avenues for both her people to intertwine ever further. She looks forward to the day her and Gradvum have children so they can teach them the best of each of their people and lead the kingdom into a new age.

Social

Hobbies & Pets

Melmiri's steed is a Griffin named Dune Rakka (Elvish for Rose Claw) who was gifted to her by Gradvum on their wedding night. While smaller than Fis Uskeche, Dune Rakka is still mountable by Melmiri and has become the equivalent of a third arm. Fiercely loyal, Dune Rakka accompanies Melmiri everywhere she goes.

Speech

Since Melmiri was raised with her tribe, her education came from the Shamans of her clan and does not know as many languages as her husband. She knows Common, Elvish, and a smidge of Dwarvish. She spends many a night with her husband learning the languages of her kingdom.

Akhrua Etriel The Northern Desert Tribes, Akhrua Etriel, are decendents of an ancient race of warrior women who worship the war goddess Tempus (According to their tribe, Tempus was a woman and not a man). Their name is given to a loose conglomeration of nomadic 'queendoms' that make the Northern Desert their home. The Akhrua Etriel typically treat men as second-class citizens, keeping them only as thralls and slaves. Gradvum's warrior prowess brought him high esteem within their community which lead to his marriage with Melmiri.
