Donal Thalask
Donal Thalask is an avid inventor and quick friend, traits he inherited from his mother.
Early in his career working with the Futurions, Donal bumped into Arthur Vanderberg the enigmatic leader of Haven. After some hurried and cryptic words he asked Donal what he was working on. When Donal explained his prototype which would allow exploration beyond the Isle Arthur just began laughing and walked away. Disheartened but not defeated Donal continued to work, however was interrupted the next day by orders from Arthur to go to Grendel to investigate the missing State Gem. The missive included speculation that the Gem may be a form of Elder magic which would be necessary if Donal was to have any chance of completing his device. So Donal packed his things and went enthusiastically to the village Ens eager to join up with Captain Mallack and begin his investigations.
