The Isle

The Isle is an enclosed Island consisting of nine city-states; Grendel, Pis'toria, Crow Bay, Remezia, Destril, Salt-Gate, Estran, Haven and Tyrol, with the Source Citadel in the center. It is an Isle blighted by the chaotic forces of 'Caedus' the last remaining primordial god whose influence is kept at bay by the channeling of the Source crystal. Unfortunately, the barrier created is far from perfect, and those particularly far from the center of The Isle are often pushed beyond the brink of sanity by the forces of Caedus.
