He grows hadara plants in his left armpit, has a humped back and has only three fingers on his left hand. His shoulders are cracked and remind two sharp rocks converging on each other.

Personal history
He came to the bridge when it was nearly built. He carried food for the builders and was enthralled by the process of bridge building. Since he stayed near the bridge. On a summons from the elvish empress he left the bridge for a week and came back to the ruined bridge. He cried but made a raft from tree trunks and uses it to trnasfer the people who come to the bridge to get them across the rapids under the ruined bridge.

He takes no sides in any bouts ouside his bridge but protects the standing pylons religiously.

Archie loves the bridge and was in love with it's arches before they were torned down. He wants to repair the bridge very much.

History
Archie was already old when Rapid came along the river's shore. He told him about the shame of the bridge being destroyed, but Rapid never listened because he liked the sun palying in the rapids. Archie understands Rapid but Rapid is arrogant and does not listen to the old troll.
