Family Name Origins

The Alemar family's origins dates back to the Kingdom of Aelen. One of the greatest and most magically powerful kingdoms in Etherlen's history. Sometime during it's life the family name 'Alemar' was founded. It is during this period that the family began to associate with magic, and became known for its history of creating great wizards.

Brief History

When the Fall of Aelen occurred, a son of the Alemar family managed to flee the carnage. With his home in shambles, he would find a ship travelling to the Continent of Origin. From here the family would go on to live fairly normal lives. They would all still be fairly gifted in magic, but would not give birth to a real spell caster for several centuries. The family would end up having hundreds of splits in the tree as time went on. Even with all the splits, the name would still carry on, alongside the blood. The first Alemar to truly reclaim the name would be Ser'Coren Alemar I in the year 2345 TH. It is with him that the tradition of the sons having the prefix 'Ser' would begin. Ser'Coren would restart the legacy of giving birth to talented wizards, and would give way to the modern line of Alemars...
