Esmeralda was named after the town of Emeraldia, the place her parents wanted her to get to so she could live a worry free life.

Esmeralda has forever been working. She takes her work very seriously and tries her best to keep her reputation up, and to please those she encounters. She has no educational background that most people know about, but she has said that she has graduated the tavernkeeper school in Daggerveil, where she passed with flying colors. She has since opened the Tavern and Inn, eventually marrying a human man named Stefan, and he would take over the tavern and put his name on it, but she would continue to learn all about different alcohol types and all that stuff.

Her whole life, she has been working. She has had many odd jobs, but her main employment has been in Stefan's Tavern (Originally called Oceania's Tavern), where she has been working as the tavernkeeper, chef, and innkeeper for many years.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Esmeralda considers her biggest achievement as opening up her tavern and inn (which, after she got married, Stefan took it over). She also loves helping people, and that is definitely another achievement of hers. She also is so happy about being William's daughter's godmother, but after his daughter was killed, she fell into a deep depression.
Failures & Embarrassments
Esmeralda takes some of the blame for Viola's death, often considering the option that she could have had her party at the tavern but said no, as there were some big clients in town. It wasn't her fault at all, since there was no way she could have known, and William also tells her it isn't her fault, but she still feels guilt. That is considered her biggest failure.
Another failure of hers is not standing up for herself and keeping the tavern in her name, allowing Stefan to take over.

Her family has passed years and years ago, her father, whom she was closest too. This caused some mental trauma for her, but she managed to push through it. The most recent problem for her was the murder of William's daughter, Viola. This dropped her into a deep depression for many years. She has been getting therapy and has been getting better, but she still struggles with it.
