Anvil Peaks
The Anvil Peaks are a mountain range stretching along the High North Coast from south to north, bending east at their northernmost end. They form the southern boundary of the Greenwood Dale and the northwestern boundary of the Vloria Desert, and are home to many Dwarven cities, including Kunarv's Delve.
Geography
The Anvil Peaks are over 400 miles long from the southernmost mountain to the northeastern end, with the highest peaks reaching over six thousand feet tall. Solid gray or white rock makes up most of the mountains, with little weathering.
Fauna & Flora
Plants are fairly rare in the Anvil Peaks, and trees almost nonexistent; some hardy grasses and bushes can survive on the slopes, and moss and lichen grow in thick patches, but these make up almost all of the mountain range's plant life. Eagles and griffins often nest on rocky outcroppings jutting from the lower slopes, and goats are common. The rare hivau also make their home here, attracting brave or foolhardy hunters seeking their prized furs.
Natural Resources
The rock that makes up the Anvil Peaks is rich in iron, and dwarven cities built into the mountains are a major source of metal.
