The Hells

I've always been a fan of exploring alternate paths, asking "what if?" This world is another "what if?", namely: What if Heaven was gone and only Hell remained? This concept of course assumes that Heaven and Hell are real, tangible places, which they unquestionably are (or were) within this setting.   I reckon I should leave a disclaimer as to that: I do not personally subscribe to any Abrahamic religions. I merely find the greater mythology of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism very fascinating. It is one of the best documented mythologies, and the numerous branches, unknown details, and internal disagreements makes it a prime candidate for exploration and interpretation.   Undoubtedly, my take on this is going to offend some people. The mere suggestion that the devil could be a decent being, though done in popular media before, is going to be deeply offensive to some. Calling the Abrahamic faiths "a mythology" will outrage others. This project, however, is not meant as commentary, criticism, or parody of faiths or religion. This is first, foremost, and finally, a piece of fantasy fiction with a set theme.
