Ibering

Ibering is a much more colloquialized variant of the word I'ber Vhing, an old saying in Elder Fae that has no direct translation to common. Closest descriptions would mean something along the lines of "to hear the song" or "the sound of echoes". This is a semi-religious form of meditation for many of the Goblins in the clan, many finding a sense of solace rather specifically in the practice.

Execution

One of the Family should find as comfortable a place as they can, typically this would be an area with little to no noise due to the nature of this practice. A favored location for all those who are unable or at least disallowed to leave the village is the Spot Rock out in the bay in the tidal flats just outside the caves. Windswept areas atop the bluffs are also favored by all, at least a few can be seen doing this at any given point of the day, though the Raiders and the Priestess typically like to do so under starlight.

The goblins will splay their ears as wide as possible, and quiet their minds. Some choose to close their eyes and empty their heads of all thought, while others simply watch the world pass them by. The practitioner will attempt to hear the world for all it is, down to the softest noise at the very edges of their range of hearing. While this is done without thinking about what they are hearing, the practice is meant to simply enjoy existing in a world filled with the music of creation. Every bird song, every cricket chirp, every soft voice heard from the clan. To the wind through the trees, to the sound of swaying grass, the echoes of the waves against the cliff bluffs.

Tradition

Meditative in nature, meant to calm the mind and center oneself.
