Looking back at this last year, I got to admit, it really has felt a bit like a wild ride on the worlds most obstinent bull. I meant a few good friends, delved deeper into this community. Really set the foundations for a lot of future projects, really set into motion trying to publish my books. But, the longer I looked at the worlds everyone was making, pushed my ability. I really strived to be better, to make my world better. From the various perspectives I read, the constant self reflection and self improvment in the writing.
To the endless challenges the community has put out, the long slogs from the Cabinet of Curiosities, the Summer Camp, Spooky Season, Novelember and finally World Ember. Long grinds hammering away at the anvil, forging my world, expanding it, fleshing out weak concepts, reworking broken ones, fixing plots and issues where I found them. It's been a long grind, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
It's been quite the year, maybe I've improved, maybe I haven't. I didn't think this many people would be interested in my strange little world, yet here you all are. I'm just a writer with a strange fascination for goblins and breaking common fantasy tropes, I'm happy you all find this at least a bit interesting!
Well, the standouts for this year that I've really loved to death for their creativity, their ability to make me better, the artistry in how they are made!
Resolution:
I really want to get, the now two part, book published with all of the extra content I have in store for it by the end of this year. I promised myself I wanted to publish book one by July of all things and that just never happened. Too many ideas that demanded my attention, and a hefty dose of putting it off. Not sure why I am hesitant to finish an arc, but I am. I also want to delve deeper into the art scene for my world, my goal is to have as much of the art in the world my own. I think I've gotten better, but I am my own worst critic. I did recently get into the digital art portion instead of just sticking to traditional art, I want to learn how to do it and start being able to display that a lot more! Taking pictures of my sketchbook requires a lot, and it's not always to get good lighting, there's a lot of editing, but here we are.
TLDR;
Publish at least one of my books, finish arc one of the books, get into the art scene more. Start arc 2 with a fervor, or at least figure out the plot!
Additional Possibly Irrelevant Nonsense
I somehow became important in a Discord server, I just talk alot. But, this place is meant to provide a place for collaborations and help. The concept is a bit hard to wrap the head around, but the long and short of it is this; author's worlds are connected through a Nexus and able to interact with each other. Can be canon if you choose it to be, but is not required. It's a place to bounce concepts and ideas off, see how your world would work. I'm hoping to finish one collaboration with the owner this year, oddly busy guy Kranjax.

I also want to attempt to start selling some of my artwork as small things like stickers. I'm trying to find out if anyone would even be interest in this kind of thing as I'm attempting to grow on several other platforms as well...with some limited success. Let me know in the comments if that would be something you think people would want, who knows maybe sometime soon(ish) there might be a store link on the page ^.^'
Maybe to no one's surprise, goblins are not always fodder. I love the take he has on the goblins being a true ethnicity with their own values and customs. Much like myself, he spends quite a bit of time "humanizing" this aspect. Ononomad was one of the authors I found earlier on that was doing something similar to what I was, and frankly I thought he was doing a much better job at it than me. I really took a lot of inspiration from him in terms of how to present them.
