Order of the White Sun

Originally known as the Church of the White Sun, The Order was founded in 1215 BEM as a military order to protect the churches. As the order grew, the church eventually became the part of the order that dictated its agenda. Within the Order there are several groups that make up its ranks.

Church of the White Sun

Founded in 1322 BEM, The Church of the White Sun revolves around the awakening of a bannerman of Eden after a raid by the Es-Var. Mortally wounded, the bannerman had a dream where a white sun illuminated the world and created the Incarnate. His dream would fuel an idea that there was a power greater than the Old Gods, who were once believed to have been creators of the world. Awoken from his dream, the bannerman known as Guiscard would find all his wounds healed. Those around him would spread word of his healing and the truth of the creation of the world. As word spread he began to gain followers. One day while speaking to his congregation he would feel an immense pain and his skin began to burn. His followers would rush to cover him. They would speak of how the sun burned him for speaking against the gods. Others spoke of how Dai’ba, angered of him learning and speaking the truth, commanded Suryo to have the sun burn him to ashes for his crime. When it failed to kill him the gods feared his retaliation.

Knights of the White Rose

The Knights of the White Rose is an order of knights dedicated to the defense of the Church and clergy. Knights that are quartered at the churches are forbidden to leave the grounds on pain of death. There are knights assigned to clergy as bodyguards who are allowed to leave the grounds. Knights of the order are chosen for their bravery or faith. Knights of the White Rose are considered to be zealots by the church.

Order of the Saints

The Order of the Saints is made up of knights that have been hand picked by the Saints to defend and fight for them. Knights within the order answer only to the saints and are considered to be above the church. It's been said that they have been absolved of all their past, present and future crimes by the saints. The Order of the Saints has been used to root our clergy that have been found to abuse their power and standing within the church.

Order of the Forsaken

The Order of the Forsaken is made up of knights who no longer fight for any nation. Many Forsaken Knights are older or have lost their way. They have forsaken their oaths to take an oath under the Church. A Forsaken Knight can take up one of two creeds. The Creek of Honor or Trade.

When the Chruch was founded during the Age of Prosperity, over time several churches were build throught the Proto nations. As the faith and the churches power spread they were eventually gifted land by the many Proto Nations. The giften land would spread untill entire cities were under the control of the Church.
