Kampom

The port city of Kampom is the eastern jewel of the Company. The city is a free trade port that is controlled by the Eperom Mari Trading Company. While the port is firmly under control by the Company, the port is overrun with all manners of trade, both legal and Illegal. Kampom gained its notoriety from the expansive trade network that has been established to funnel the trade of Parchment. Fortunes have been made and lost in the streets of Kampom. Any illegal trade made in the city is rumored to be taxed by the Company's town guard. Commonly referred to as the White Jackets, they allow illegal trade to be conducted alongside the free trade market. While few dare to speak the words out loud, the company is neck deep in the corruption that plagues the city. This corruption is widely felt in the slums that reside outside of the port's walls.
