Fires within the Frozen Cove
When the Teuta first made landfall it was unknown to them that The Samru Empire watch from a distance for the first few months. As the Teuta only ventured north, the Emperor had no concerns that the foreigners would be hostile. The Emperor sent an envoy to the new nation and worked to establish future trade. The Teuta were hesitant but welcomed the friendly messengers. However in 60 EM, the Red Emperor died of natural causes. His son would be crowned the new Red Emperor and had a different view on the empires northern neighbor. For the next decade the new Red Emperor moved aside their previous isolation stance while constructing new fortifications at their norther border and expanding the army. When the Teuta began construction on the port of Kopa in 72 EM at the tip of the Frozen Cove, the Emperor saw the expansion towards their border as a future threat to the empire. The Emperor sent 28,000 troops to seize the port and expand their borders to span from Kopa to the Silver River. At the same time, he sent 20,000 troops and a few hundred ships over the partly frozen cove to blockade the Teuta's capital and stop any reinforcements from the capital.
The Conflict
Prelude
Construction of the port of Kopa in 72 EM at the tip of the Frozen Cove was seen by the Emperor of the Samru Empire as a unnecessary expansion towards their territory. It was also an excuse for the new Emperor to fully abandon his fathers isolation stance for The Empire and expand their borders further north.
Deployment
Samru Empire
The 28,000 troops partly surrounded the port of Kopa in the anticipation that they would flee. A few days before, the ships along side the other 20,000 troops began their siege of Tuvaneia.Teuta Eisom
The garrisons at both settlements held their ground knowing that the around 30,000 troops that were training at Reyvik were due to return home to both settlements.Battlefield

The Engagement
Tuvaneia
The Fire Elementals of The Samru Empire bombarded the Teuta's capital for several weeks before the troops landed along the coast to attack the damaged walls. In the first attack several of The Empires ships were sunk by the Teuta's Ice Elementals. The beach head below the walls of Tuvaneia would remain littered with dead for the next few months. Eventually the Empire halted all attacks and just maintained the siege, before then several thousand Empire soldiers had died.Kopa
For tow weeks the troops at Kopa held off their attacks assuming the garrison and citizens would flee. When that did not happen The Samru Empire started an all out attack. This to week delay allowed the Teuta's troops from Reyvik to arrive just in time before the Empire captured the town. With the Teuta's reinforcements arrival, fierce urban combat was waged for several months before a standstill happened. For the remainder of the conflict the city was captured and retaken by both sides block by block.Outcome
The Samru Empire eventually withdrew from both cities as heavy losses and sickness ravaged their forces. With the coming winter The Samru Empire knew they could not keep their forces clothed and fed against a force more adapted to the colder months.
