Franz Banning

Colonel Franz Banning (a.k.a. The Banner)

Elderly commander of the Tau Regiment. Born to unlicensed Stender parents in the time of the parenting licenses, he was drafted into the State Guard and raised as one of them like many others.
He usually ponders on his origin, and where his loyalties should truly lie. His regiment is assigned to Clay, the city of the enemies of his parents. During the Freykorp Incident, he and his forces helped many Stender soldiers escape the slaughter. Despite having been under orders by General Paris, he has been subsequently accused by the local Ardent of still favoring his origin faction, and he wonders if there might be some truth to this.
