The Emperor’s Restraint, a mystical sword crafted in response to the bloodthirsty rule of an emperor in 2671 became a cornerstone of the Thelvara Dynasty. Forged by a renowned bladesmith, this sword grows in power the longer it remains sheathed, becoming stronger with each passing year it remains unused. Symbolizing the restraint that should define an emperor’s rule, the sword has come to represent the balance of power in the Dynasty. It was presented to the succeeding emperor and entrusted to the Jade Consecrate’s most important member: the Guardian of the Emperor also known from that point on as the Keeper of the Sheath. History has shown that almost every emperor who has had the sword drawn in their reign has met an early end, a reminder of the caution and measured judgment expected from them.
