Khipu Stream (key-pooh-stream)

A nomadic tribe of synths have traveled into the Great Lakes Wastelands. Not much is known of them, but they claim to have traveled north from Peru. Most synths in the tribe are generation 2 synths and are often seen wearing clothing inspired by mesoamerican indigenous groups - specifically the Inca. They consider themselves historians; a group completely dedicated to gathering, restoration, and safe keeping of pre-war and post-war knowledge. As a traveling group, they will trade their technology in exchange for knowledge.
The Khipu Stream is a piece cybernetic that is often sought after. Inspired by the Khipu Knots of the Incan empire, Khipu Streams is a cybernetic prosthetic that replaces an individuals hand. The cybernetic is usually black, gold, or silver in color. The palm of the Khipu Stream holds a circular gem-like circle. An individual with the Khipu Stream can hold their palm upward and project a hologram that displays information logs (blueprints, holotape recordings, journal entries, etc.). The circle in the palm can also stretch out into a cybernetic tendril. Although it could be used as a weapon, its primary purpose is to attach itself into any robotic and terminal to download data.
The Khipu Stream has one feature that truly makes it stand out. The Khipu Stream can display a hologram of in which an individual can write in the binary code of khipu knots that the cybernetic is based on. The display appears as a hologram of a dot. The individual then can tap on the dot as if they were typing out Morse code. Through writing in this method, the user of the Khipu Stream has whatever information they stored completely encrypted - even the synths who created the Khipu Stream have trouble decoding data written in this manner. Through simple upgrades, a user can encrypt all of their data in this binary code with just a thought. It is important to note that a Khipu Stream user can share encrypted information to others by providing a temporary access pass.
