Synth Khipu

The Khipu Stream is an advanced form of binary code that was built by the nomadic synth group. Though many question their claim that they have traveled from the Commonwealth to the Mountains of Peru and back, their detailed and sophisticated knowledge of Khipu would make even the hardened sceptic a believer of their tales. The Khipu found on Khipu Streams and the Khipu of the ancient Inca do not differ as much as one would imagine.    The most apparent difference is that Synth Khippu is virtual. Although it takes the physical appearance of holograms, it has no real physical touch. Khipu Streams can be connected to neural connecting technology which can cause the user to observe data in a cyberspace virtual reality. Although even in doing this, Synth Khipu will never have the textile form that traditional Khipu takes.

Writing System

Synth Khipu - as traditional Khipu - is a binary code. There is not a traditional alphabet as one may find in English. However, it can still be understood if one understands the principles of binary code. Synths and robots are quite handy in deciphering Synth Khipu.

Geographical Distribution

Although traditional Khipu exists in the ruins of select museums across the United States, Synth Khipu can only be found wherever the nomadic tribe of synths can be found. Khipu Streams are highly affective in storing and recording data - which makes it a highly sought piece of technology. Traders, Raiders, and even the Brotherhood have been known trading large amounts of caps and rare knowledge in exchange for a Khipu Stream. Thus, one can figure if the nomad synths have been somewhere if locals have Khipu Streams.
