The Unstoppables

When the Crawler stumbled upon Vault 162, they discovered a small army of pre-war robots that were inactive but fully functioning. Hailing from just about every combat model popular before the war, they were designed to operate autonomously after receiving orders. The First Citizens council embarked on a project to take advantage of this, reprogramming the machines to serve as an elite security force and strike team for when special circumstances arose.

Needing an iconic name that would be easily recognizable, they were dubbed ‘The Unstoppables’ after a pre-war comic book series and radio broadcast. Full series had been preserved in the holotape library, making it easy to keep the legend of these fictional superheroes alive in the current culture. There is even an ongoing movement to collect pristine comic books so that they can be reprinted for the general populace.

With a few artists aboard the Crawler, they even managed to get a few paint jobs to resemble the costume and logo designs from the original ads. Between these aesthetics and the competence of the additional security, they have become a major pillar of morale on the platform. Those inspired enough can even serve them as technicians or ‘sidekicks’ in the field.

Mission Statement

Programmed to follow the orders of the First Citizens, the Unstoppables are usually deployed on missions deemed too dangerous for the human police force. These special operations take first priority for one of their members.

Daily tasks for human 'Sidekicks' revolve around maintenance, repairs, and diagnosing programming. They report directly to the First Citizens Council.

To assure other citizens of their security these robots are sometimes paraded around the Crawler accompanied with radio broadcasts that push the pre-war fiction. This may also be done simply to flex on rivals of the current regime, but both instances are rare amidst the struggle to survive.
