Aroth

Low sun is when The sun of Dartar is lowest in the sky, and level with Dartar for the entire day.
Aroth is celebrated in different ways. Near Skyreach , people see it as something that makes their world unique, and celebrate and feast around large fires. Farther from Skyreach, the day is associated with bad luck. People light candles in their windows to ward it off.

Execution

Execution Aroth is celebrated in two different ways.
Near Skyreach, people see it as something that makes their world unique. They celebrate with a day long festival, which takes place around bonfires and includes a feast. Bonfires aren't the only things used, though they are the most notable. Many varieties of lanterns are hung, and really anything that gives off a lot of light is used as well.
Farther from Skyreach, the day signifies bad luck, and people carry candles to ward it off. The next day, there is a festival, similar to the one near Skyreach, but only during daylight hours. This festival is called Podex, and shows that things will only be getting better, and that the bad luck has been warded off.

Components and tools

Near Skyreach, lots of light-giving things are used, and food is needed as well. Farther from Skyreach, only candles are used. The day after that, food is needed.

Observance

Low-sun only happens once every 243 days, when the sun is level with Dartar. Before this, the sun’s maximum point slowly descends, well the minimum rises. When they are level, and also level with Dartar, because the center of this point orbit is, Aroth occurs. After that, the points continue their rotation, until this happens again.
Low-sun is only the name for when the The sun of Dartar is level with Dartar. Aroth is the name for the holiday celebrated then.
