Hive Gods

Document written by: Da Livie and Kevin Handerson   Order to obtain the document: [Black Iron]   Content: This document will go through what Hive Gods are, how they created, and their biology.

Other creatures of this forsaken universe are birthed by the mothers of the same species. However, these monstrosities can be birthed by other creatures within the Hive, this type of nature-fuckery must end.
— Handerson Abernu
Unlike other species within the Hive, hive gods come into existence simply because the ecosystem needs them. While that could be to help the Hive navigate through the darkness of space for the ecosystem class to fertilise barren planets, or to control the force of the warrior class to crush anything that poses a threat to them.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The hive god has a thin exoskeleton and is bipedal. They have one head with four eyes, two on the front, and one on each side on its head. They do not have a mouth or any ears. They have long arms that are often dragged across the ground. Hive gods never stand up straight, but hunched over with their head looking down. No one knows precisely why they do that; they are fully capable of standing up straight. They just choose to hunch over; some speculate it’s because they are sensing the planet, others speculate they are walking towards places strong with magic.

Biological Traits

Hive gods are one of the few species in the galaxy that can use magic and access the realm of the dead. They also have telepathy and telepathic abilities that don't require the user to use magical energy. This is because they have a special organ near their brain that is able to manipulate sound waves in a controlled manner that can make the lift objects and hear the brain waves of other creatures.

Genetics and Reproduction

The species themselves cannot reproduce. However, they seem to be born from other species within the Hive. No matter what creature it is, with the exception of the sporg. It is believed that the hive gods are born out of necessity, born to serve a purpose. It is commonly known that hive gods are not a part of the ecosystem class or the warrior class, but used as navigators to assist both of the classes.

Growth Rate & Stages

It will take a hive god around 1 or 3 years to mature. Sometimes quicker depending on their need in the Hive.

Ecology and Habitats

Hive gods are highly adaptive and will be seen anywhere in the galaxy. Regardless if the planet is uninhabitable. They do this by changing what makes the planet challenging to live on, by changing the temperature or by affecting the oxygen in a short distance.

Dietary Needs and Habits

A hive god consumes its nutrition by absorbing it through their skin. When a hive god is hungry, they would go to any biological material and would dissolve it using their wide range of powers or using a help of a creature called a Leech that will dissolve organic materials.

Biological Cycle

A hive god will go through four stages in their life. Birth, ensign, navigator, and strive one. The birth stage will only last for three weeks, this is a stage when a different species birthed the hive god and looks after it. The ensign stage will continue until they are around three months old. During this stage, they would be able to walk and have essential control of their powers. The navigator stage will happen when the hive god is around 2 years of age. They are fully mature and would help the hive navigate around the galaxy. The strive one stage is when a hive god can use an insane amount of magical energy, so much that they theoretically destroy spaceships. It is unlikely that hive gods would be able to go through this stage. There is no exact reason why, some theories states that there can only be a certain amount of strive ones in the universe, others think that it could be situational that only a few can truly unlock their full potential.

Additional Information

Average Intelligence

Hive gods are typically intelligent species; however, most of the time they act on instinct than anything else. Most of the time, they wouldn't communicate with other species but stay solitary. Hive gods with a superior intellect are known to be cunning, manipulative, and extremely dangerous. They are the ones that will talk to other species outside of the Hive to create fear, trick them to thinking one thing, or make deals with great effectiveness. Because of this, they are listed as one of the most dangerous species within the Hive.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The hive god’s sight can be compared to humans. They are unable to smell. Yet even with no ears, they can still hear using their psychic powers but detecting the vibrations in the air.   They also seem able to navigate to any location without struggle, even if they have not been to the planet before. It is a popular theory that the species can detect the strength of magic at specific locations. Others speculate that the species can sense the tectonic structure of the planet, making them able to map out the planet to find the best spot for the ecosystem to live. This gift is not only limited to planets; however, they seem to be able to navigate in space. Planning routes for planets to colonise. How they can achieve this is unknown.   Hive gods also can telepathically communicate with any species regardless of what language they know. If a hive god is skilled enough, they could also read minds, and look through the target's memories. This is demonstrated by a hive god called Dale during the battle of Strax V.
