Ohni Kujan Character in The Fruit of War | World Anvil

Ohni Kujan (OH-nee KOO-jan)

Ouni-Tibat

Ohni was the leader (Tibat) of the Violet Accord and by association, the Host of Selephise through her Titans Hezath Zalesper, Scedal Basania, and Aguthsha Intoh during the War of the Six. Her initial stance on discovery of the ikam in the Inebi Grove in 985AC was to protect the ikam and prioritize further research, but she secretly desired military might from it.   Ohni was born in Balaqalneyis but was raised in Gild Firetalon in Unenshuut by her grandmother Selmeres Drumminglight, the Gild's leader; this would prove significant in her first interactions with Xa'aroch, where she ordered on a whim that he prove his loyalty by attacking Gild Whitewell -- a gild minora to Firetalon's main rival, Gild Bloodgrove. Although praised for her astuteness and preoccupation with the rapid acquisition of scientific and esoteric advances and knowledge, it was this very tendency that caused her to support the work of warlocks and eventually bring them into the Host, which pronounced a decided shift of culture and tactic for the Accord as a whole and gave the Pact of the Blessèd more ammunition to frame the conflict as a holy war. It also reinforced stigmas against eova, especially those with ambition (such as Kaavius Springfist).   Ohni was killed at the Widow's Siege when, having confided her true motives to the sympathetic Scedal-Titan, he revealed them in spite to Hezath-Titan and in particular, Aguthsha-Titan. This caused Aguthsha to release the Plague of the Bitter Hand in spite and as a preventative measure.   Ecesh Drumminglight is her baby cousin.
