Disruption Fields

A form of energy field that is used primarily in an offensive role. Disruption fields are capable of neutralizing the bonds between atomic particles located within themselves. This means that a disruption field will allow a melee weapon to displace the particles within its path with little to no resistance. Functionally this renders body armour useless agains a weapon with a disruption field.

Utility

Used for an offensive force field in sophisticated melee weapons or as a physical barrier to disintegrate incoming matter.
