He joined the Supreme Council Of Mages as an Neophyte in his late teens and rose through the ranks at an unprecedented rate, becoming a Master Enchanter at only 28. He honed his skills for 10 years before challenging hes predecessor to a contest of skill.
In an unprecedented display, Asum Asnum mystically commanded his predecessor to yield the position of Magus over to him and to leave the tower forever. He was never seen again.
