Delvers
The Delvers are a secret cult. The leaders of this cult bind their souls to daemons to gain magical powers. They wield the magicks of decay and darkness.
For those who are aware of the Delvers existance, little is actually known. Their practices and rituals are foul and unspeakable. There are indications that some Delvers have infiltrated the Church of the Crossing. A greater fear is that the Delvers are a harbinger for the emergence of The Dimming into The Bright Lands, but no one living knows what that may entail. Any knowledge on the subject was most likely lost when Rook Manor burned down fifty years ago.
Culture
To gain power, of any kind, is the driving motivation of a member of the delvers cult. There is no person or thing a delver won't murder, steal, sell, betray or torture while striving to gain power. It is not surprising that many Warlocks are members of this cult.
Tenets of Faith
Delvers hold that personal satisfaction is the only true form of godhood. All the gods are lying to their worshipers for their own ends. Only by communing with daemons can one get a true understanding of how the universe works, and our meaningless part in the cosmic farce.
Many Delvers believe that The Voices are, in actuality, daemons masquerading as deities. As such, Delvers often attempt to infiltrate the Church of the Crossing to more effectively spread their daemon worshiping practices. This, of course, is considered one of the foulest heresies one could commit in the eyes of the Church of the Crossing, and is punishable by a slow and painful death.
Granted Divine Powers
Those who are granted powers by their daemonic patrons utilize Magicks from the spheres of darkness and decay.
There are indeed those who would traffic with daemons. And they do gain tremendous powers for a brief moment. But to claim these fools are organized, and pose a greater danger than the occasional Warlock, is preposterous.
