House of Horrestius
History
The House of Horrestius was a merchant company founded by members of the Repuvian Knights. The House maintained the trade monopoly around the islands of Hesto, providing the Knights with a substantial income. The House also took control of the Order's assets in Quentar.
The House of Horrestius had dedicated navigators and explorers who travelled around Desilica and the Cyraic Ocean. In 350 PT, they discovered the fabled islands of Calatasshone and mapped the northern islands.
In 386 PT, the Merchants of the House agreed to set up a factory on Pirote, the north-westerly island of Calatasshone to harvest the Chalkwood timber from the islands. However, the factory was destroyed by the Imperial Navy of Sufrey in 400 PT.
In 525 PT, the House was directed by the Master of the Repuvian Knights to aid the establishment of a military colony on the larger island of Pascall, successfully establishing the colony of Tasine, eventually forming Tasine and Bollo and later Penstramm.
The House of Horrestius lost its monopoly in Hesto in 578 PT, when the monopoly was broken by force, but it maintained its power in the Hestian colonies.
