Photokinesis

"In order to see, you need light. This is true. But light has so many more uses than visibility. It can heal, harm, bend and deceive. How light is used ultimately comes down to what kind of person the caster is. I am here to ensure it never sees use from those who are tainted with sin and greed. So, the question is... what kind of person are you?"  Evelyn, Goddess of Light
Photokinesis, also called photomancy or simply light magic, is a class of magic involving the manipulation and weaponization of light.

Effect

Photokinesis is a tool, weapon, and can even be used for healing, depending on the user.

Side/Secondary Effects

The most common side effect of photokinesis is blinding oneself or the people around them. Less common effects include permanent loss of vision or accidentally burning oneself.

Manifestation

Although most photomancers manifest their powers as sunshine yellow or white light, other colors have been observed. It is unclear what determines a photomancer's color.

Source

Photokinesis is commonly drawn from either the user's internal magic pool, or the ambient magic around them.

Discovery

Photokinesis was born with and first used by Evelyn, the Goddess of Light. From there, it was taught to her angels, then gifted and taught to mortals.
