Hydromancy (HI-droh-mahn-see)
"Water. A necessity for every living thing. Without it, life would no longer be possible, here...or anywhere else. But be warned. Too much of a good thing, no matter what, is lethal. A simple drink shares its qualities with the crushing, bottomless ocean. Treat it with respect and gratitude... or it may swallow you whole."—Thesilia, Goddess of Water Hydromancy, also called hydrokinesis, aquamancy, aquakinesis, or simply water magic, is a class involving the manipulation and weaponization of water.
Effect
Water has many uses, but is most often used to quench thirst, to heal, as a weapon or as a tool.
Side/Secondary Effects
The most common, and benign, effect on beginner hydromancers is that they end up soaking themselves while practicing. Less common effects include drying up/freezing their own blood, drowning/freezing themselves, or doing either of these things to others.
Manifestation
The manifestation of pyromancy varies by the spell, but across all spells, the main indication is water or ice.
Source
The magical portion of hydromancy is drawn from either the user's own magical pool or from the ambient magic around them. As for where the water itself comes from, hydromancers usually extract the water from their immediate environment. In incredibly hot, dry places, hydromancers will be useless without a container or canteen of water with them.
Discovery
Hydromancy was born with and first used by Thesilia, Goddess of Water. From there, it was gifted and taught to mortals.
