Void

The Void is a psychic realm formed mostly of the conscious or subconscious imprints of powerful beings, ranging from the souls of completely normal people to powerful Akasharian horrors. In the same way that the imposition of will can be used to drive the arcane, the will of a spirit continues to linger on in the Void after the death of the body. The Void is linked in many religions the the concept of a celestial womb, but in reality it contains both malevolent and uncaring entities who prey on the dead and the living alike. The void is also known to contain various kinds of life thought to be completely native to its realm, including conscious and subconscious projections kept alive by the hopes and fears of those around them.
