Khalangani

While they lived in the time of the Ashwinter Interregnum, the Khalangani retreated underground and lived in khalangan where they appear to have either invaded or settled the war-torn remnants of Mantikamu.  While little is known of the original Khalangani, their remnants appear to rever a distant 'Torchbearer', master of hunts and god of light who is depicted as chasing animals such as ungulates in a black snow. From what depictions we can see of the Khalangani amongst the Mantikamu ruins, they maintain much of their original anatomical features.  once having distinctly less fur and larger, more elongated ears.  It's thought that perhaps the Khalangani descend from a more gibbon-like species which in turn descended from the Mantikamu, perhaps similar to the Shriekers of Exdegur.
