Fighter

The Fighter is a professional combatant who has been extensively trained in the martial arts, often through the War Colleges of the Grand Accord but potentially by any martial organization on Geron. the Skirmisher is completely focused on combat, endlessly drilling all manner of combat maneuvers until they are able to make the best of every moment on the battlefield, chaining abilities together and performing complex combat actions that decisely dispatch foes.

Fighter inhabit nearly all walks of life, living as professional mercenaries, guards, soldiers or highwaymen. Good or bad, they can be found virtually anywhere, making the most out of their battlefield of choice.

The Fighter is a master of all weapons, performing countless drills and learning various martial styles that allow them to survive a fight.. Claws, tridents, and hooked halberds allow him to better clash with, trip up and otherwise manipulate foes. Nets and bolas allow him to incapacitate potential dangers. Even without these special weapons, a Fighter provides significant menace.

Two Paths

A Fighter goes down two paths simultaneously, with each rank he gains being applied both to a Style and to Drills. A fighter may either diversify and go down Style and Drill paths that shore up weaknesses, or specialize by choosing Drills that further strengthen a chosen Style.

Technical Armsmanship
  Improved Substitution   Improved Familiarity   Improved   Weapon Damage   Weapon Finesse Choose a weapon class. The Skirmisher is proficient in all strike types when using a weapon of that class and may substitute Weapon Finesse for any kind of strike otherwise possible via Coordination / Melee Accuracy / Strike Ability.   Adept: Choose a second weapon class. The Skirmisher may change the damage type of any weapon to bashing or Slashing.   Master: Choose a third weapon class. The skirmisher may change the damage type of any weapon to piercing.   Tactical Footwork Select the Dashing, Leaping or Maneuvering skill. You may perform any of the abilities from the selected Skill by paying Movement + Selected Skill + Tactical Maneuvers instead of the abilities of that selected skill.   Adept: Select a second Movement skill. You may perform any of the abilities of that selected skill using Tactical Maneuvers.   Master: Select a third Movement skill. You may perform any of the abilities of that selected skill using Tactical Maneuvers.   Opportunistic Fighting In areas where the materials where armor is scarce, too hoot Skirmishers specialize in lighting-fast reflexes, defending and attacking with such speed that they seem untouchable to their enemies.   The Skirmisher may select a Reflex skill (Avoidance, Reaction, or Celerity). The Skirmisher may pay Opportunistic Fighting to use an Ability of that the selected skill.   Adept: Select a second Reflex skill. You may use abilities from the selected skill but pay for them with Opportunistic Fighting.   Master: Select a third Reflex skill.
