Goliaths
Blessed with the blood of Fabled Giants, Goliaths are both nature's unstoppable force and immovable object.
The third race to join the exploration of the Etherium were the Goliaths. They build boxy unwieldy behemoths that could hardly ride the flow of the Aether Streams but had lower decks of enslaved rowers who could steadily propel them onward. As they explored they found allies in the Orcs and Humans, who’s natural inclination for conquest and greed made them untrustworthy but eager companions. This joining became known as the Iron Cohort who clashed often with the other races in raids and attacks.
The Iron Cohort cared only for one thing, to take everything they could and burn what’s left. For 50 years the Cohort was left unchecked until the Infamous Burning of Port Ansella on the neutral Sphere Zomothea. Enraged at the needless slaughter the Fayen Collective and C.T.U worked together for 25 years to crush the Cohort and their gruesome crimes and in the Battle Over Bolla they brought the remaining leaders of the Iron Cohort to their knees.
At the end of the war the Goliaths, intelligent but cruel were unwilling to surrender even when all possibility of victory had been lost, were all but culled from The Etherium as their last battles of attrition left their numbers almost entirely depleted. Very few bloodlines have survived and most choose to remain secluded from the rest of the Etherium, hiding in either fear or shame.
While rumors of a hidden Goliath Conclave somewhere in the Etherium have spread wide, no actual name can be found for this location. At present the only Goliaths that can be readily found are those who are prisoners on their own home Sphere Duthantu, which is currently used as a penal colony by the C.T.U, Fayen Collective and the Free Sphere Coalition.

The Goliath War Clans having been disbanded for some 300 years no longer pass their Clan Name on to new generations.
Currently they use the penal colony's name as a Clan Name, attempting to take pride in the fact that even under punishment they are united. - Embermine, Stonebreaker, Copperdirt, Gemdepth, Gasfume, Oilfield
