Mudville

Overview

Mudville is a large community on the edge of the Marsh. It's the main collecting point for fish and produce from the Marsh, and is the closest community to the Great Gate.

Geography

Anyone who wishes to make their way to the Great Gate and pass Outside must go through Mudville and navigate the hidden causeway through The Marsh, or take a boat. Roads head northwest to Woolville, north to Centerville, and east toward Wheatville

Society

The people of Mudville are sometimes looked down upon by residents of other more prosperous towns, but they are proud of their distinct culture. Most of the residents are Humans, although a few of the other races also dwell there. 'Mudvillains' tend to wear brightly colored clothes and have a strong tradition of singing and dancing, with occasional festivals that draw revelers from the other towns. One of the most prominent is the Festival of the Balladeer on 21 Yondallish. A couple of small shops providing adventuring gear are available. Houses are raised a few feet above the ground, for Mudville sometimes floods.
