Lord Dugallan Vantyr (a.k.a. the Butcher-Lord)
At A Glance
Known as the Butcher-Lord, Dugallan fought against Rhone's conquest of his lands and neighbors between -153 to -150 BL under Queen Moralei. When the conquest was mostly complete in -150 BL, Dugallan and several other petty warlords refused to bend the knee to Rhone. They fled to the mountain keep, known as the Corpse-Hall, with a couple hundred like-minded commoners to continue the fight. From -150 to -148BL, the Resolute Banner, as they called themselves, raided and killed into their former lands without mercy. They slew the peasants for submitting to Rhone, they murdered the family members of those warlords who had capitulated and struck many times at the Rhonish nobility who were annexing their lands.These actions were so brutal and bloody that Dugallan, the leader of the Banner, earned the epithet of the 'Butcher-Lord'. There are some who say that it was sleeping beneath the cursed stone of the Corpse-Hall that turned him savage.
In -148, after a particularly heinous ambush, Queen Moralei personally mustered her Raven-Knights and rode out to bring justice to the Banner. They pursued the Banner into the winter until finally catching them and battling with them at the... There Dugallan lost his head to the Queen and it is written that the Ravens left no one alive such were their crimes.

Family Ties
The Vantyr lineage fled the loss of their lands although Dugallan Vantrell stayed behind to prosecute his revenge campaign against Rhone. The remnants of the line eventually made their way to the Midlands where a descendant managed to gain lands and title in the chaos that occurred there in a few decades.
