Humans

Classification: Common Race   Humans are, in most areas the world, the most populous of the mortal races. They have relatively shorter lifespans when compared to other races, but the speed at which their populations grow and their defining trait of seeking to accomplish things during that short lifespan caused them to rapidly spread across the world in great numbers.   Humans were created by the god Thaemenar, along with the Wood Elves and the Halflings. Their purpose was to build upon the world, with Thaemenar bestowing upon them the traits of determination, innovation, and a desire for expansion. It is for this reason that regardless of where you travel, you are likely to find humans and their settlements, with many of the largest cities in the world being constructed by humans.   Humans average between 5 and 6.5 feet tall, and their physiology varies wildly on the region in which they live. Their hair can be brown, black, blond, or red, and their eyes can be any number of colors but are typically brown, green, blue, or some color in between. They may not inherently be the strongest or wisest race when viewed as a whole, but this does not mean they are inferior. What makes humans special is their adaptability and versatility: Within any given craft, profession, area of expertise, or lifestyle, you are likely to find at least a few humans, and some of them may even be exceptional in that field despite their short years.   Human cultures are not nearly as homogeneous as those of other races and are largely based on the region in which they live: A human who has lived their entire life in The Kingdom of Torvahl is likely very different in their beliefs, values, and appearance from one found in Kalava'kir or Daemorant.
