Pyrus is the first and fire planet. It is made mostly out of volcanic plains. The many volcanic eruptions fill the sky with smoke and ash to the point that many cannot tell the time of day because it blocks out almost all the sunlight that would otherwise reach the land. Said smoke and ash makes it near impossible to breathe without a gas mask of sorts. The ground is covered in a layer of basalt with surprisingly healthy and fertile soil underneath. Pyrus is filled with valleys and caverns. Small lakes are scattered around that are filled with fish and other sea creatures.   Most of Pyrus is filled with valleys and caves.

Geography

Pyrus's ground is filled with rough, rocky, ground made of basalt. The soil underneath is surprisingly fertile and healthy. Small lakes are scattered around Pyrus that are filled with fish and other sea creatures. The many volcanic eruptions fill the sky with smoke and ash to the point that many cannot tell the time of day because it blocks out almost all the sunlight that would otherwise reach the land. Said smoke and ash makes it near impossible to breathe without a gas mask of sorts.   Pyrus also has rivers and sometimes even lakes made of lava.

Ecosystem

Pyrus is harsh and near impossible to live in if you were not born there. The local animals have evolved to have armor like scales, or fireproof feathers/fur in order to survive, along with membranes in their nostrils to filter out the ash and smoke. Some are even able to wade through/swim in the rivers and lakes of lava.

Ecosystem Cycles

Pyrus does not experience a typical SAWS seasonal cycle. Rather, it has a wet season and a dry season. In the wet season, it rains, possibly extinguishing the lava rivers and lava lakes, allowing for more aquatic non-sapient life forms to mate and reproduce. The rain even causes less volcanic eruptions. During the dry season, it seldom rains and volcanic eruptions are more common. Fish and other non-sapient sea life are rarer than normal. Most sapient animals mate during the mid to late dry season to ensure the child is born into the wet season.

Localized Phenomena

Pyrus is filled with volcanos that erupt with enough force to burst lava outwards in all directions. They also release enough smoke and ash to block out the sky. This smoke and ash is also what causes the heat to rise to near unlivable temperatures.

Climate

Pyrus is incredibly hot and dry. It rarely rains or snows. Sometimes the temperature can raise up to 152 degrees F in some parts.

Natural Resources

Obsidian from cooled lava, petrified wood from ash choked trees, minerals like gold, copper, znic and sometimes even diamond from caves, and coal from deep underground.

History

Pyrus was the first of the eleven elemental planets. It used to have much more life to it, but ever sense a series of violent volcanic eruptions set off a chain reaction that led to the seemingly post-apocalyptic state of Pyrus today.

Tourism

There is pretty much no tourism. In fact, some of the locals are even trying to flee Pyrus for better living conditions.
