Witches

The term 'Witch' is a vague descriptor in common parlance and one that has historically been used to describe a wide variety of magical and religious practices falling outside the norm of acceptable society. From the Wyrd covens of High Rock and the Reach to Orkish Witch Doctors and Shamans, to the Daedra worship of Dark Elves.

The key defining feature across all of these use cases is 'othering'. Magical traditions that do not accord themselves with the more scientific approach to arcane study as practiced by the Mage's Guild .
