Orc -Orsimer

Dearest reader, I hesitate to even devote such fine a page to such vile beasts, but alas, knowledge is power and one must know the Orc to defend oneself against the Orc. While I do not speak the old tongue of the Elves, Aldmeris, it is said that the term for Orc in their language is 'Orsimer' referring of course to their cursed nature, or perhaps the curses they wrought upon the land. Others argue the term should be rendered closer to something akin to 'Pariah Folk', a name stemming from the just exclusion of Orcs from civilised society, due to their inherently violent and bestial nature. For their own part, I am told they call themselves 'Ornin', obviously a degraded form of the Elvish.

Long have the Orcs plagued the mountains of High Rock and Hammerfell. Wrothgaria and the Dragontails are regularly thrown at their mercy.

Of all the policies put forward by The Empire, perhaps none has been more contentious than the insistence by Imperial authorities that Orcs merit citizenship.
