Tai’Shoni
The Tai'Shoni are feline-like huminods that are adept in alchemy and are native to the large island, Jenu, located southeast of Mortvügg. The Tai'Shoni will look either like a Jaguar or a Tiger, the latter of the two is stronger and bigger than their cousins, though not as magically adept, these type of Tai'Shoni typically become warriors. The former of the two are smaller and not very physically imposing but they are quicker and have more magical ability than their cousins, which makes them great alchemists and wisemen/women. In the year 1840 S.C. the Tai'Shoni were enslaved by the Minotaurs after they had lead the Tai'Shoni into a false friendship. The Tai'Shoni were quickly spread throughout the Skoúrýkos Empire, but were mainly concentrated with in the south and put to work mostly as laborers, but sometimes as gladiators. The south which the Tai'shoni dominated once belonged to the Orcs, who were enslaved before them but the Skoúrýkos Empire saw them as too strong and a potential threat so they were systematically eradicated and replaced by the Tai'shoni, who were thought to be more docile. The Tai'shoni laborers went through harsh treatment and were worked to the bone to build up the empire's infrastructure, the Tai'Shoni that were adept at alchemy were the most affected as the Minotaurs forced them to create golems, which put a lot of stress on their bodies because making golems in surplus tends to deplete any energy the Tai'Shoni have. The alchemists were also force to create steroid-like potions that would increase the strength of the other slaves. Those that became gladiators, they were typically forced to fight each other and if it looked like the combatant would show mercy to their opponents all those in the ring would be killed. The gladiators would also have to faceoff against some of the best Minotaur warriors and were typically defeated due to the overwhelming strength of Minotaurs compared to the Tai'Shoni, but occasionally a Tai'Sho would beat a Minotaur and this would spell disaster for the Tai'Shoni combatant(s) as they would either be killed on the spot or later on after the fight. In the year 1920 S.C. there were several minor slave uprisings in the southwest of the Minotaur empire which caused a small ripple effect of other uprisings across the empire which grew into an outright rebellion and was one of the major causes for the fall of the empire. After 20 years of war the empire fell and the slaves were freed, but many Tai'Shoni were born into slavery and did not now the ways of their people, only the ways of the empire. Thanks to some Minotaurs that fought for the slaves and to some Tai'Shoni that had learned to basics of government and economics several Tai'Shoni nations began to emerge from the ashes of the Skoúrýkos Empire, though most ended up forming tribes and cutting small territories throughout the former empire and even reconnected to their home island of Jenu. In current times there is much tensions between the Tai'Shoni nations and Humans nations because during the reign of the Minotaurs, the Tai'Shoni were spread into a largely human populated areas but the Tai'Shoni would begin to out populate them due the high amount of cubs a Tai'Shoni has, which is anywhere between 2-3cubs, which had caused the area once dominated by humans to become Tai'Shoni dominate and so due to the lost territory humans have become rather distant and hostile toward their former enslaved brethren.
