Skoúrýkos Empire
The Skoúrýkos Empire was the country that ruled over almost half of Mortvügg for 928 years and was ruled by the Minotaur.
History
The empire was founded by Eryatiró Tárvénos, leader of the Tárvénos tribe, which was a large tribe that originated in foothills of the Vrácúsios mountain range. In the year 998 Eryatiró's father began fighting 5 other tribes to the southeast and slowly began taking them over, Eryatiró would later take over the conflict as his father had died in battle and go on to take out all 5 of them. During this time, Eryatiró also absorbed some of the smaller tribes to the north into his territory. After the conflict with his neighboring tribes and approval of the Council of Shamen, Eryatiró declared the creation of the nation of Skoúrýkos, which came from an old Minotaur legend about how Minotaur with the same name was descended from the gods themselves and founded an empire that was a paradise for his kind. In the year 1015 S.C. the Empire of Hestria had formally dissolved and the region was thrown into disarray and so Eryatiró used this opportunity to expand his territory south and took out two of the minor human nations bordering him, but unfortunately when he tried to move further south he was met with a stronger and more organized force from the Kingdom of Delamain and was forced to retreat. He would not march south again for the next 15 during which he had built up his nation's wealth and power by utilizing the humans from his conquered territory to teach his people their way of farming, architecture, and ways of war. Also during this time many of the human kingdoms became weakened by the Dark Elf/Human Wars, in-fighting, and raids by other Minotaur tribes.
